The defeat sees Burnley trade at 1.75 for the drop and predictably means Bolton’s price went the other way with the Trotters now eased to 4.4 to go down.
One of the few football teams to be trading shorter than Burnley, Portsmouth (currently at 1.41) have at least got something to show for their night’s work when they picked up a point in their football fixture against another side fighting to beat the drop in the shape of West Ham. Meanwhile, two significant matches took place in the battle for fourth place with Spurs getting one over Liverpool. But the football betting market still makes Liverpool a shorter price than the North London outfit for a top four place; Spurs are 4.7 whilst Liverpool are 3.1 though Man City trade at a shorter price than the pair.
